Privacy Policy
A plain-language explanation of what we collect, why, and how it's protected.

Who this covers
This policy covers velixwebsolutions.com and any conversation you have with the VELIX AI chat assistant on this site. VELIX Web Solutions ("VELIX", "we") is a small, founder-led studio — this policy is written to be genuinely accurate to how we operate, not boilerplate copied from a larger company.
What we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, through two channels:
- The contact form — name, phone, email, company, budget/timeline if you provide them, and your project details.
- The AI chat widget — the messages you send it, and, if you ask to be contacted, the same lead details as above (name, phone/email, project summary). The AI is built on Claude (by Anthropic) and calls a function to save your details only when it has genuinely collected them — it does not silently log a conversation as a "lead" in the background.
We do not use tracking pixels, third-party ad networks, or sell any data to anyone. There is no ad tech on this site.
How we use it
Solely to follow up about your project — to reply to your inquiry, prepare a quote, or schedule a consultation. Your project details may also be referenced internally (e.g. in our admin dashboard) so whoever picks up your inquiry has context, without you repeating yourself.
Where it's stored
Leads and chat transcripts are stored in our project database (or, until that is fully provisioned, may be held in server memory or your browser's local storage as a temporary fallback). We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Standard technical logs (e.g. for security and abuse prevention) may be kept by our hosting provider, Vercel, under their own policy.
Third parties
Two processors are involved in delivering this site's core functionality: Anthropic (Claude API — processes the text of your chat messages to generate a reply) and Vercel (hosting — serves the site and runs our backend). Neither is authorized to use your data for anything beyond providing their service to us.
Your choices
You can talk to the AI chat without ever giving your name or contact details — it will simply answer questions from the knowledge it has. If you've submitted a lead and want it deleted or corrected, email us and we'll action it promptly — see contact details below.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for business inquiries and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Given the size of our team, we don't currently have a separate mailing-list notification process for policy changes.
